Colorado Jobs

Colorado jobs are regaining at a rate faster than the rest of the country.  Job growth last year was 2.1 percent.  The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment Reported growth in the construction, natural resources, financial services, professional and business services including lawyers, accountants, architects, scientific researchers and advisers.

Denver’s Commercial Real Estate sets record high

Denver area commercial sales topped $3 billion for office buildings, retail and industrial properties.
The record sales were the equivalent of all of the large commercial real-estate transactions in the  Denver area from 1990 to 1995.

Denver Welcomes Southwest Airlines

Southwest Airlines, the low-fare carrier arrived back in Denver today.   They will begin daily nonstop service to Chicago, Las Vegas and Phoenix immediately.  In the next few months the airline is expected to add another 6 flights to other destinations.

Housing Predictions for 2006

The National Association of Realtors has forecast the Front Range will post an average appreciation of 7% each year in the next two years.  The prediction is based on the forecast of job growth in this region as well as the recent boom in the energy sector.
