First, let’s start with the basics. I have been selling real estate in Colorado since 1984. From trendy lofts in downtown to family homes in Highlands Ranch and Parker, I have helped buyers and sellers all over the Denver Metro area. This means that I know the nuances of almost every area of Denver so I can help you find the home you are looking for, but also the lifestyle you want to live. Since I have been a mom with three small kids, then a mom with three teenage kids and finally a mom with three college tuitions, I understand the needs and challenges of many of the phases of life. So now you know the basics of who I am, but there is another side to me that makes me a great fit for you. In the year 2000 I had a unique experience that has given me have an even better understanding of my job and the impact it has on people. I was fortunate enough to go on a one year bike trek around the world. We traveled to 47 countries on 6 continents. It was a large group of about 250 people, the impact we had on some of the small towns was staggering. We would come riding in and deplete all of the markets of food and supplies in half an hour.
We averaged about 80 miles a day on our bikes and then we also relied on other forms of transportation to get where we needed to go. People always ask if I had a favorite country or place and my answer is always the same. Really I didn’t have a favorite; I just wish I had more time in each place we visited.
What does a bike trek around the world have to do with selling real estate? Well, first of all I am much more interesting to be with for hours on end as we drive from house to house! Secondly, the journey made me realize the pleasure and serendipity of looking for a house. Just like on my trip I realize that what is around the corner may be exactly what you need and I don’t mind taking the extra time to look at yet another house if that is what you want to do. The hunt is part of the fun and since my bike trek; I have become more passionate about the processes of buying and selling homes.
