While galavanting about town recently I came across a sign that pleased me very much. It was a sign indicating the trail I was on was part of the Colorado Front Range Trail!
This trail when complete will be part of a 876 mile long trail that links communities and scenic byways from Wyoming to New Mexico.
When I first learned of the CFRT creation, I had a vision of the trail following I-25, but soon I learned this was not the case. To make the trail interesting it will meander through some of the best areas of the state, including historic points, parks and open space.
When completed the Trail will attract cyclists, runners and walkers from around the world. It will be a prized destination for active vacationers not just locals.
So now you see why I was pleased to see real-life proof of the Colorado Front Range Trail. I can hardly wait for it to be finished!
