Once again the people at Forbes.com turn their focus to Denver and the real estate market. Today they announced Denver to be one of the best cities to purchase a home.
Why you ask? Isn’t the real estate market in the tank?
Actually it’s not.
As Forbes says our fundamentals are very good. Forbes used three different sets of data to arrive at their conclusion. You can read about it here.
After combining all data, Denver tops the list. 25% of property sales have occurred within 25% of the city’s zip codes, making a proportionate market within the city. Thanks to our modest appreciation over the past few years our fall was not nearly as deep as other parts of the country. “Little boom, little bust” quoted Christopher Cornell an economist at Moody’s.
This is certainly good news for Denver!

Denver does seem to be obtaining more and more recognition. Seems to be a real hot spot talking with travelers/tourists. A few conventions, that would normally take place in Las Vegas or LA are now being held in Denver. I didn’t realize Denver’s main industries were energy and technology.
Denver was wise a few years ago and added onto the convention center. Guess having the DNC here was a good for planning to have lots of company!
Hi Krystal. Your blogs are all awesome, even wordless wednesday. Good for Denver for being voted, however I truly wonder how accurate the statistics are.
