Great post Kristal. The attitude of sellers and agents is crucial. I always tell people I'm not really in real estate, I'm an engineer on an emotional roller coaster. I try to have a good attitude and set the expectations right from the get go. Our sellers are well informed and are very easy to manage once they are in the know.

Agreed! The attitude of the brokers can also make a big difference. Following someone who has traveled the path before allows those who haven't to be able to follow with a little more confidence. Yes, attitude is everything.

It's true, attitude is everything. It often boils down to the buyer feeling all this pressure to acquire the property "right away". Meanwhile, you got the sellers feeling ripped off by the whole "it's either this or foreclosure" scenario. Seriously, who needs this kind of stress? I find that if the seller enters this delicate transaction with an open mind, that attitude is transferred to the buyer and the buyer then becomes more receptive. Attitude is everything.

Great post. Attitude is 90% of everything, and we look at the technicalities of the short sale process so much it's easy to forget how important attitude and motivation can impact the process, on both a buyers and seller's side of the coin.
