Currently the Parade of Homes in going on thru Labor Day. If you enjoy looking at homes, particularly large, expensive new homes, make the trip out to Commerce City.
Yes, I said Commerce City! Located adjacent to the Buffalo Ridge Golf Club, the homesites have amazing views of the front range.
There are only 6 homes to look at, but each one is worthy of a good look. Plan a couple hours at least. There a refreshment stand serving food and drinks, so you can see a few homes, take a break and start all over again.
My hands down favorite home is called “La Grande Cannoli”. Of course I know I have good taste because this home also won “Best of Show” for the 2006 Parade of Homes. Built by Brookline Homes this spectacular 8,755 sq. foot home is described as an Old World Tuscan Style farmhouse.
If you have the opportunity to squeeze in a few hours at the Parade of Homes before it’s over, do go. You will enjoy it.
