Friday’s Photo

StanleyHotel-EstesParkThe weekend is coming and the weather promises to be nice.  If you are one of the lucky ones who can hop in the car and go for a drive, try heading toward Estes Park.

This time of year the drive is most pleasant. When you get there you will be at the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park one of our Country’s most treasured parks.

Just outside the gate, high up on the hill you will see this lovely old Historic Hotel, called the Stanley Hotel.  If it looks familiar you must have seen in in the move “The Shinning.”

Oh, and as you drive around town, try not to hit the Elk. They tend to act like the own the place, well actually they do!

Hope you get out and discover Colorado this weekend.
