Thanks all for the nice compliments! Night photography is one of my favorites. Eric is right it does take a good tripod and some patience. The SLR allows me to take a ton of photos so I can be sure one works.

I used a 30 second shutter speed on the Capitol in order to capture the light trails of the automobiles on Broadway.

The Blue Bear is also a night shot, I forget the exposure settings, but I must admit I used Lightroom to adjust it in order to see inside the building better. The Blue Bear is a challenging shot because of the wide contrast in color and the fact he’s on the north side of the building under the overhang. He’s also about 30 feet tall!

Ricardo, spend some of your money and get an slr digital camera. You will need a tri-pod as I am sure Krystal uses one at nite. The are vrey cheap. Ok, I’m totally jealous of your ability to capture beautiful photos!

Irina, Dustin (his family) and I took a walk around Pasadena where they have these great big pine trees decorated with lights and other ornaments. They’re huge and capture, well, the holiday spirit of course. But we couldn’t capture a good shot! (My little digital camera isn’t going to do the trick I can tell ya that much).
