Bicycling is very popular in Colorado. In fact so popular we are seeing more and more on the road each day. Many neighborhoods provide bicycle lanes for cyclists to insure their safety. These lanes are a terrific way to encourage more people to use their bikes for daily chores as opposed to starting the engine on the car.
This is a good thing.
Something I must mention, because I see it happening all the time is this. Bicycle lanes are for bikes, not cars. Drivers of cars often use the bike lane as a turning lane. That’s not what it is there for.
Bike lanes are for bikes. Please don’t use them, doing so endangers the safety of the cyclist.
