I was a skeptic although I really loved the mass transit in Chicago. It seems the "Hiawatha line" has been successful (that means people are riding, not that it is paying for itself!) and a new line is proposed for 2011 to connect the Twin Cities' downtowns. That will be a great boon for commuters. The one thing we need in our metro is a good transit system. We got our first light rail in Minneapolis a couple years ago.
