Yesterday I experienced my first “flash mob.” It was an interesting experience and now I know what that silly cell phone service commercial is all about on TV!
A flash mob (or flashmob) is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual and sometimes seemingly pointless act for a brief time, then disperse, often for the purposes of entertainment and/or satire. Flash mobs are organized via telecommunications, social media, or viral emails. ~ Wikipedia
The purpose of yesterday’s flashmob was to get Denver people to smile. I think the mob was successful, they performed a fun dance and gave out Smile Denver stickers.
I’m still smiling when I think of it. The group has an interesting website a Smile Denver. Here’s a few photos so you can smile too…
