The Milken Institute December report for the Best-Performing Cities where jobs are created and sustained included Denver-Aurora-Broomfield, Colorado.

Milken measures many factors to compile the list. They gauge the metrics of job, wage, and technology trends shaping both the current and future economy.

The good news is, Colorado is home to four cities that made the list. In addition to Denver-Aurora-Broomfield, Boulder, Greeley andFort Collins-Loveland received a positive nod.  All cities moved up in rank over their positions from 2012.

The report quotes  Denver-Aurora-Broomfield Assets as:


  • Attractive business climate, skilled workforce, and strong international links.
  • Diverse high-tech industry mix triggering high growth.


  • Weakening global economy could restrain growth of high-tech products such as semiconductors.

The report stated Denver-Aurora-Broomfield has a “relatively diverse mix in the high-tech industry.”  The key industries in Metro Denver are telecommunications, aerospace, and manufacturing.

The economy is Metro Denver is healthy not just because our industries are doing well, but because our residents WANT to live here.

Denver’s Parade of Homes 2011

The event real estate lovers have been waiting for is nearly here! Next week beginning August 11, the Denver Parade of Homes Debuts with 64 homes across the metro Denver area from Loveland to Castle Rock and Aurora to Central City!  With this many locations there is bound to be the perfect home in an awesome location for somebody!

International Baccalaureate Schools also known as IB Schools are easily found in the area.  IB is a nonprofit education foundation that focuses on educating students for the globalizing world. The programs  children ages 3 to 19 a continuum of education.  IB has a reputation for high-quality education for over 35 years.

The purpose of the program is to encourage international-mindness in students that carries through life and into society. It is no wonder IB schools have become so popular in metro Denver.  Many are choosing the IB program as a way to encourage learning and growth for a rapidly changing world.
