For the most part Trex, Denver’s largest public works project since building Denver International Airport has been fun to watch.
It is history in the making I tell myself as I watch the progress from day to day. My commute is generally made during “off rush hours” so perhaps my experience is not the typical one. Typical or not, I think folks must agree, the project is totally amazing.
I marvel at how the hundreds of workers manage to move bridges, widen roads, restripe, add longer accesses, exits, restripe, lay more blacktop, rip it up, restripe, add light rail, light rail stations, build enormous overpasses, a tunnel and restripe it again, all at night, in the dark, while seldom stopping daytime traffic.
All this and the project is on time and under budget. How did this happen? Do they give lessons?
