Many of us enjoyed watching the coining process and the chance to tour our local Mint as children. After 9/11, our ability to offer this same opportunity to our children was curtailed due to strict background checks, and long waiting processes. Today, however, the Denver Mint is simplifying the process for the general public again. Groups of 15 or fewer can make a reservation online, and larger groups (16-50) can arrange through the Office of Public Affairs at the United States Mint by calling 303.405.4759.
