Future Lone Tree plans
Spring of 2004, construction will begin on RidgeGate at Lone Tree. It will be the biggest mixed-use suburban development ever under-taken in Colorado. Over the next 50 years, the development will cover 3,500 acres (5.5 square miles) and will include 12,000 home units and 23 million square feet of office and retail space.
Development plans say RidgeGate will be pedestrian-friendly, having a neighborhood feel with compact development to limit sprawl. Plans include three new light-rail stops and add 12,000 residential units and 23 million square feet of office and retail space.
