100 Real Estate Tips in 100 Days  (Day 3)

What is Denver's Walk Score?

If you don't know your Walk Score, you must visit The Walk Score Website! Developed out of a need for homeowners to calculate the convenience of one's home to stores, restaurants, work and other quality aspects of a neighborhood, one can go online to get a number.

The number can range from 1 to 100.  So depending on the proximity the home (address) is to Grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, movie theaters, schools, parks, libraries, bookstores, fitness, drug stores, etc. the higher the number.

Assuming and rightfully so, more and more people prefer to not jump into their cars. Quality of life is judged by how seldom you have to put the key into the ignition.

Of course this is very attractive to urbanite, city dwellers.  Others who prefer living where they can't hear or see their neighbors will not be so impressed.

If you re interested is what your walk score it, or even if you are considering a home purchase, Walk Score is free.  Just plug in an address and view the amenities nearby.
